About Judd

I grew up playing all the sports I could. I loved the physicality and the competition of it all.  My real passion in life though was music. I pursued music as a profession and had a lot of success teaching and performing until a recent injury ended my ability to play.  I now use my obsessive practicing habits on disc golf!

Favorite DG memory

My first ace was a great memory. It was a backhand skip ace with a DX eagle that someone had just given me.

Why disc golf?

I love disc golf for a lot of reasons. When I had my injury and could not play music anymore a friend introduced me to disc golf and it kind of got me through what was a rough place for me mentally. The solace of walking through the woods and fields alone, the endless practice shots, just watching the disc fly through the air, all these things gave me a peace like only music had done previously. I love the creativity and sometimes improvisation of all the shots that are available on any given hole or any given shot. It always keeps me coming back for more!
