Favorite DG memory

To be honest, it was at a disc golf festival earlier this year ( 2016 ). I took my girlfriend to her first tournament. I could tell she was nervous, who wouldn't be after only learning a few months prior and never really playing a course? Everyone had thrown but her. She stepped up to the tee, stood there for a few seconds, and then let it rip. This dang disc went well over 250ft in a perfectly straight line and ended 15ft inside the circle. I couldn't of been more proud. She finished that full round of 18 only 2 over par, she had a blast and has been glued to the game ever since. That's my favorite moment thus far.

Why disc golf?

I've always been an athlete since I can remember. Loved playing ball golf as well as the individual aspect of the sport. Then one day my buddy Josh asked me if I wanted to go play golf, thinking he meant ball golf I said yes very quickly. After about a 5 minute drive to Oak Grove I noticed these baskets in the ground and got really confused. He then pulled some plastic out of his trunk and my brain melted in confusion. After 9 holes of pure suck, I was glued, I forced myself to progress. I'm naturally very competitive, and when I found a sport that literally takes you teaching your body to throw a Frisbee 100% differently then taught growing up, I fell in love. This game is constantly changing, the courses are never the same, the people you meet generally are great human beings, and the memories are even greater. I cant wait to play this game all the way to and in my grave.
